Erika Mokrý

Erika Mokrý is a Slovak cancer survivor who has made her home in Montpellier, France, for the past ten years. After being diagnosed with cancer on her 28th birthday, she sought treatment in France, where she found not only medical support but also a community that embraced her. Now 35, she runs a non-profit organization called 'Tak trochu inak', through which she provides assistance to oncology patients by organizing various projects and selling scarves, turbans, and her book. Erika has garnered a following of 35,000 on Instagram, where she shares her journey and advocates for cancer awareness, despite facing online harassment. Professionally, she works in administration at the University of Montpellier, balancing her career with her commitment to helping others affected by cancer.
