Erlan Sagnaev
Erlan Sagnaev has been appointed as the new Vice Minister of the Ministry of National Economy in Kazakhstan as of August 27, 2025. Prior to this role, he led the Department of Tax and Customs Policy within the same ministry. Born on February 26, 1978, in Zherenda, Akmolinsk region, Sagnaev graduated from North Kazakhstan University with a degree in Economics and Management. He has held various positions in the tax authorities of the North Kazakhstan region and served as deputy head of the tax department in several other regions, including Kostanay, Mangystau, and Karaganda. In 2016, he joined the Ministry of Finance's State Revenue Committee and in 2019 was appointed deputy head of the State Revenue Department for the Atyrau region.
