Ersin Baltagul

Ersin Baltagul is a Kazakh sumo wrestler who has gained recognition for his impressive performances in sumo tournaments. He has been living in Japan since he was 18 and previously practiced Kazakh traditional wrestling and judo. In 2019, he became the youth champion of Japan in sumo, marking a significant achievement for a Kazakh athlete in this traditional Japanese sport. Baltagul competes under the name Hiruki Kimbodzan and recently made headlines by winning his first match at a historic overseas tournament in London, the first of its kind in 34 years.
