Erwin Nest

Erwin Nest is an adjudicator for the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada, known for his decision in 2008 that allowed Gurtej Singh Smagh to remain in Canada despite a drug conviction. He ruled that Smagh had community support and family ties in Canada, determining that deportation would cause undue hardship.
