Erzhan Ashikbayev
Erzhan Ashikbayev, born on June 16, 1974, in Almaty, Kazakhstan, is a seasoned diplomat and expert in international relations. He graduated from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and furthered his education at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government. Ashikbayev began his diplomatic career in 1998 and has held various significant positions within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, including serving as the Deputy Head of the Prime Minister's Office and as Head of the Foreign Policy Center of the Presidential Administration. He was appointed as Kazakhstan's Ambassador to the United States in April 2021 but was recently relieved of his duties following a series of governmental appointments by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
