
Erzhan Babakumarov
Erzhan Babakumarov is a former deputy akim (mayor) of Almaty, Kazakhstan, who served in this role from July 2019 to February 2022. He has also held positions within the central communications service and the office of the Prime Minister. Recently, he made headlines after being arrested for driving under the influence, which resulted in a 15-day jail sentence and a seven-year suspension of his driving privileges.
