Esma G. is a 30-year-old woman from Turkey who recently found herself at the center of a criminal investigation after falling victim to a fraudulent scheme. In an attempt to reconcile with her estranged husband, she sought the services of an individual posing as an astrologer on Instagram. Believing she was under a spell, Esma G. sent a total of 131,650 TL to the scammers, who claimed to perform rituals to remove a supposed 'Süryani Jin' from her husband. After realizing she had been duped, she reported the incident to authorities, leading to an ongoing investigation.
