Esmail Moghaddam

Esmail Moghaddam is a former general of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and currently serves as the head of the National Defense University of Iran. He has been in the news recently for his assessment of security threats surrounding the funeral of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, where he stated that while the likelihood of an attack is low, necessary precautions have been put in place to ensure safety during the large public gathering.
