Esmeralda Moronta de los Santos was a 33-year-old mother of two and the founder of 'Estilo Pastelero.' Tragically, she was shot and killed in Alma Rosa I, Santo Domingo Este, shortly after reporting harassment to authorities, leaving her children orphaned and highlighting the urgent need for improved public policies to combat gender violence.
