Esoi Chiquenoi

Esoi Chiquenoi is a member of the Ayoreo community in Chaidi, Paraguay, who played a pivotal role in the search for Wenceslao Benoit, a missing Argentine citizen. His deep connection to the ancestral lands of the Ayoreo, combined with his instinctual navigation skills passed down through generations, enabled him and a group of volunteers to locate Benoit's body in the dense terrain of Parque Nacional Defensores del Chaco. Chiquenoi's actions highlight the community's commitment to their land and the challenges they face in seeking recognition and support from the government.
