
Ethiopis Tafara
Ethiopis Tafara recently took on the role of Vice President for Africa at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), replacing Sérgio Pimenta. Prior to this position, he served as Vice President and Head of Risk and Legal Affairs at the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA) within the World Bank Group, where he oversaw various divisions focused on finance, risk management, and legal affairs. Tafara has extensive experience in international financial regulation, having worked at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and held leadership roles in promoting global securities regulation standards. An advocate for sustainable finance, he has been recognized for his contributions to legal capacity building in emerging markets.
