Eugene Parkinson

Eugene Parkinson was a prominent Jamaican politician and member of the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP). He notably won the first election for the St Andrew South constituency in 1967, defeating his opponent by a narrow margin. Parkinson's victory marked the beginning of a political rivalry that would see the constituency swing back and forth between the JLP and the PNP over subsequent decades.
