Eugenia Babad
Eugenia Babad was a Romanian operatic mezzo-soprano born on May 3, 1900, in Bălți, Moldova. She trained at the Conservatorul Popular Moldovenesc and made her debut in 1925 at the Romanian Opera in Bucharest. Babad was known for her powerful voice and performed in major European cities before being honored with the Order of 'Meritul Cultural' in 1946. She passed away in Bucharest on December 26, 1986.
