Evangelia Georgakopoulou is a former police officer in Greece who gained notoriety for her involvement in the wiretapping scandal that implicated the National Intelligence Service (EYP). She was previously seconded to the EYP, where she authorized the lifting of confidentiality on the phone of Nikos Androulakis, the leader of the PASOK party. Following the revelation of the scandal, which included allegations of using illegal surveillance software, her secondment was terminated, and she returned to the police force.
