Evarist Nyawawa

Dr. Evarist Nyawawa is the Head of Adult Cardiac Surgery at the Jakaya Kikwete Cardiac Institute (JKCI) in Tanzania. He has played a pivotal role in the transformation of cardiac care in the country, overseeing significant advancements in surgical capacity and patient care since the institute's establishment. Under his leadership, JKCI has expanded from performing a limited number of surgeries to becoming a regional center of excellence, providing advanced cardiovascular procedures that were once unavailable locally.
