Evelyn Kandakai

Dr. Evelyn Kandakai is the Vice Chairperson of the African Women Leaders Network in Liberia and a former Minister of Education. Since the establishment of AWLN in Liberia in 2019, she has been a prominent advocate for women's political participation, governance, and economic empowerment, as well as combating gender-based violence. Dr. Kandakai has emphasized the need for legislative changes, such as gender quotas, to enhance women's roles in politics and decision-making.
