Éver Almeida is a retired Uruguayan footballer born on July 1, 1948, in Salto, Uruguay. He began his career at Club Atlético Cerro in Montevideo before moving to Paraguay in 1972 to play for Guaraní. Almeida achieved significant success at Olimpia, where he is regarded as one of the club's greatest legends, contributing to their dominance in South American football with two Copa Libertadores titles, among other achievements. He became a Paraguayan citizen in 1975 to represent the national team, earning 20 caps. Almeida holds the record for the most matches played in the Copa Libertadores, with 113 appearances across 16 editions.
