Evgeny Zyl

Evgeny Zyl, known by his stage name Johnny Gati, is a Belarusian rapper who gained notoriety for his involvement in drug trafficking. In 2015, he was accused of running an online drug sales operation and fled to Russia to evade arrest. Despite his attempts to continue his illegal activities from abroad, he was apprehended in 2017 and extradited to Belarus, where he was sentenced in 2019 to 19 years in prison for drug-related offenses and distribution of pornographic materials. While incarcerated, Zyl has expressed a desire to reform and focus on his music career, citing his time in prison as an inspiration for his creative work.
