Fabián Ramos Cruz

Fabián Ramos Cruz is a Colombian campesino who was wrongfully imprisoned for ten years after being mistakenly identified as 'Mauricio Pitufo', a leader of the FARC-EP. Recently, the Jurisdicción Especial para la Paz declared him innocent, highlighting that there was no physical resemblance between him and the actual guerrilla leader. Ramos was initially sentenced for involvement in a terrorist attack in 2005, but new evidence and testimonies revealed the miscarriage of justice against him.
