Fablice Manirakiza

Fablice Manirakiza is a Burundian entrepreneur and the head of Ubaka Nation Group, a company at the center of a controversial project to reconstruct the former central market of Bujumbura. Having faced significant personal challenges as a child, including the loss of his parents and living on the streets, he later moved to Australia, where he found his calling in construction. Manirakiza has been actively seeking investment from the Burundian diaspora to fund the ambitious project, which has drawn scrutiny due to concerns over governance and transparency in the awarding of the contract.
