Faisal Al-Ansari

Faisal Al-Ansari is the Executive Director of the Qatari Calendar House, an institution dedicated to astronomical research and the determination of Islamic calendar dates. He is known for his expertise in lunar observations and has contributed to various initiatives aimed at accurately predicting the dates of Islamic months, including Ramadan. Recently, he was in the news for announcing that the first day of Ramadan 1446 AH is expected to begin on March 1, 2025, based on precise astronomical calculations.
