Fanni Kemenes was a renowned Hungarian costume designer, celebrated for her contributions to film and theater. Born in 1929, she became a prominent figure in the arts, receiving the prestigious Jászai Mari Prize and the Erzsébet Prize twice. Over her illustrious career, Kemenes designed costumes for nearly 100 films and television productions, as well as hundreds of theatrical works. Her artistry was showcased in notable productions such as Zoltán Várkonyi's epic film 'Egri csillagok' and various adaptations of 'Csárdáskirálynő.' A vital member of significant theatrical institutions in Hungary, including the Vígszínház and the Szegedi Nemzeti Színház, she left an indelible mark on the cultural landscape of Hungary before her passing at the age of 94.
