Faridul Alam

Faridul Alam is a local businessman involved in the shrimp drying industry in the coastal village of Maulavipara in Kutubdia, Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh. His shrimp production facility, known as a 'shutki mahal', employs over fifty women who work tirelessly from morning to evening to process various types of fish, primarily shrimp, into sun-dried fish products. The site is known for its bamboo drying racks, where the women skillfully produce traditional dried fish, contributing to the local economy and showcasing the significant role women play in this industry.
