Faridul Alam is a local businessman involved in the shrimp drying industry in the coastal village of Maulavipara in Kutubdia, Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh. His shrimp production facility, known as a 'shutki mahal', employs over fifty women who work tirelessly from morning to evening to process various types of fish, primarily shrimp, into sun-dried fish products.
