Faruk Ahmed is a seasoned infrastructure professional with over 37 years of experience in the construction and management of metro rail systems across five countries, including Australia, India, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Hong Kong. Before taking on the role of Managing Director at DMTC, he worked on a specialized 3,700-kilometer highway project for freight transportation in Uttar Pradesh, India, and contributed to the East-West Metro Line in Kolkata. His extensive expertise encompasses metro rail construction, operation, design, and contractor negotiations, making him a pivotal figure in the sector. Recently, he has been in the news for his involvement in the reopening of the Mirpur-10 and Kazipara metro stations, which were damaged during the July uprising.
