Fátima Peña

Fátima Peña is the coordinator of the El Observatorio Universitario de Derechos Humanos (OUDH) at the Central American University (UCA) in El Salvador. She has been actively involved in monitoring and reporting on the state of human rights in the country, particularly in the context of the current authoritarian regime. In a recent report, Peña highlighted the significant deterioration of civil liberties and the alarming rise in human rights violations, including arbitrary arrests and the criminalization of dissenting voices, particularly journalists and human rights defenders.
