Fatimata Ouédraogo

Fatimata Ouédraogo is a resilient and entrepreneurial woman from Boussouma, Burkina Faso, who has made a name for herself in the traditionally male-dominated field of small ruminant farming. She has been recognized as the best breeder in her category during a livestock fair in 2025, thanks to her innovative use of the Sariasso 14 sorghum variety, which she cultivates for both grain and forage. Her successful practices have allowed her to significantly reduce her animal feed costs while improving the health and productivity of her livestock.
