Fatma Hussein

Fatma Hussein is a 42-year-old Kurdish woman living in the Cheikh-Maqsoud neighborhood of Aleppo, Syria. Recently, she experienced intense conflict as government forces clashed with Kurdish fighters in her area. Despite the violence, Fatma chose to remain in her home with her husband and four children, expressing a desire for peace and stability in a unified Syria. After the government declared victory, she encountered the grim realities of the aftermath, including the presence of civilian casualties in the streets. Fatma remains hopeful for reconciliation and believes in the possibility of a peaceful coexistence with those who respect her community.
