Fatoumata Koné

Fatoumata Koné, 43, has been a member of the Paris City Council since 2014 and leads the ecologist group in the council. While her group is part of the city’s political majority, she maintains a degree of independence from the executive's decisions, allowing her to critique the administration of Mayor Anne Hidalgo. Koné champions greater inclusion of Parisians in urban transformation efforts and strongly believes in the potential of Paris to elect a female, ecologist, and black mayor.
