Faye Stewart is a youthful and ambitious Indigenous peoples’ advocate and programme manager dedicated to improving the lives of Indigenous communities. She emphasizes the need for collaboration between government and civil society to enhance educational opportunities for Indigenous children, drawing from her own struggles in accessing quality education. Stewart advocates for respect for Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC) and highlights the importance of listening to Indigenous voices, as well as the necessity for civil society to play a role in ensuring accountability and transparency in governance.
