
Federico Muelas
Federico Muelas was a prominent Spanish poet, journalist, and pharmacist, born in 1909 in Cuenca. He is remembered for his literary contributions during and after the Spanish Civil War, as well as for his unique approach to theatre and poetry, which often celebrated his hometown. Muelas also founded literary magazines and wrote several screenplays during the Franco regime. His life and work have been commemorated in Cuenca, where a sculpture of him, created by local artist Javier Barrios, captures his contemplative spirit.
