Felipe Montenegro

Felipe Montenegro is a paleontologist affiliated with the Faculty of Sciences at the University of the Republic (Udelar) in Uruguay. He was recently in the news for his significant role in the discovery and classification of the Mesetasaurus protector, a new species of giant dinosaur that lived in what is now Uruguay during the Late Cretaceous period, approximately 80 million years ago.
