Felipe Moreno Piedrahíta

Felipe Moreno Piedrahíta is the dean of the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing at the Universidad Católica in Ecuador. He has been vocal about the challenges facing the medical profession in Ecuador, particularly the overpopulation of general practitioners in urban areas and the need for more specialists in rural regions. Moreno Piedrahíta has highlighted that while the country exceeds the World Health Organization's standards for the number of physicians per capita, there is a pressing need to regulate academic offerings to better align with the demands of the healthcare sector.
