Femando Guardia

Femando Guardia is a prominent Panamanian priest and civil leader known for his involvement in the struggle for democratic legitimacy in Panama during the late 1980s. He played a crucial role as a co-observer of the electoral process in the Philippines, which inspired him to help establish the Movimiento Nacional de Elecciones Libres y Honestas (Modelho) upon his return. Guardia was instrumental in the formation of the Cruzada Civilista Nacional, a movement that peacefully challenged the dictatorship of Manuel Antonio Noriega, advocating for democratic reforms and civil rights in Panama.
