Ferenc Rakoczi

Ferenc Rakoczi II was a Hungarian nobleman and leader of the anti-Habsburg uprising in 1703-1711, fighting for Hungarian independence. His efforts were part of a broader struggle for national autonomy within the Austrian Empire. Although ultimately unsuccessful, Rakoczi became a national hero and symbol of resistance, reflecting a long-standing desire for Hungarian sovereignty.
