Ferenc Schultz

architect Hungary

Ferenc Schultz was a Hungarian architect known for his contributions to the design of several significant buildings in the 19th century, including the iconic statue of a knight in armor atop the Buzdugan Tower of Corvin Castle in Hunedoara. His innovative vision for the castle included a grand roof adorned with glazed tiles, topped by the statue of a medieval soldier, representing John Hunyadi. Although Schultz passed away in 1870 before his ideas could be fully realized, his work has left a lasting legacy in Hungarian architectural history.
