Fernando Mendiola is the director of the Fondo Documental de la Memoria Histórica de Navarra and has been instrumental in advocating for the transformation of the Monumento a los Caídos into a museum-memorial to address historical injustices and educate the public about the consequences of the Spanish Civil War.
