Fernando Rego

Fernando Rego is the president of the Associação Veteranos Lanceiros de Portugal, an organization representing former members of the elite cavalry unit in Portugal. He has been vocal about the deteriorating condition of the historic Regimento de Lanceiros N.º 2 facilities in Lisbon, expressing deep concern over the lack of maintenance and respect for the heritage of the lanceiros. Rego has highlighted the neglect of these installations since the unit's departure in 2015, and he has called for urgent intervention to preserve the site, which has almost 200 years of history.
