Fidel Ramos

Fidel Ramos was a prominent Filipino military officer and politician who played a crucial role in the 1986 People Power Revolution that ousted dictator Ferdinand Marcos. He served as the Chief of the Philippine National Police and later as the Secretary of National Defense, where he was instrumental in garnering military support for Corazon Aquino during her campaign to lead the country after Marcos. Ramos eventually became the 12th President of the Philippines from 1992 to 1998, focusing on economic reforms and the modernization of the military.
