Filiz Ali

Filiz Ali is a distinguished Turkish pianist, educator, radio program host, writer, and arts manager, recognized as one of Turkey's pioneering figures in music education. She has made significant contributions to the promotion of classical Western music in Turkey and is known for her multifaceted approach to art and education. With a career spanning over five decades, she has played a pivotal role in nurturing young musicians and enhancing the cultural landscape of her country. Ali recently received the 2023 Vakıf Onur Ödülü Altın Madalyası for her extensive work in the music field and her leadership in establishing the Ayvalık International Music Academy and Festival.
