Firas El Abed

Firas El Abed is a talented artisan from Moknine in the Monastir governorate of Tunisia, known for his expertise in traditional ceramics. He recently gained national recognition by winning the Prix national du meilleur projet pour les nouveaux promoteurs in the artisanry sector for the year 2025, awarded during the Salon National de l’Innovation dans l’Artisanat. This prestigious award, which he received on May 26, 2026, marked his first participation in a national craft fair, where he stood out among over 70 competitors. A graduate of the Institut Supérieur des Beaux-Arts de Sousse, Firas launched his pottery and clay sculpture business in 2025, showcasing his innovative approach and dedication to preserving traditional crafts.
