Florentín Meléndez

Florentín Meléndez is a distinguished lawyer and former magistrate of the Supreme Court of Justice in El Salvador. He has been a key figure in the field of human rights, having contributed to the founding of the Instituto de Derechos Humanos de la UCA (IDHUCA) in 1985. Meléndez recently spoke at the inauguration of a new collection of human rights books in honor of José María Tojeira, underlining the importance of the IDHUCA's work amidst the challenges faced in the country over the past 40 years.
