Floria Márquez

Floria Márquez was a celebrated Venezuelan singer and actress, born on February 11, 1950, in Caracas. Coming from a musical family, with her mother being classical pianist Bertha Van Stenis and her brother the renowned singer Rudy Márquez, Floria began her professional singing career in 1987, specializing in Bolero music. She gained immense popularity in the nightlife scene of Caracas and performed internationally across Colombia, the Bahamas, Aruba, Mexico, Argentina, and the United States. Known for her passionate singing style, Floria shared the stage with legends like Armando Manzanero and Oscar D’Leon. Tragically, she passed away on October 25, 2023, during a performance due to a sudden stroke, leaving behind a legacy of musical excellence.
