Flowers
Flowers is a dedicated volunteer at Hawke’s Bay Hospital’s Emergency Department who began her service after experiencing her own health scare, including a flight to Wellington for a pacemaker. Motivated by the compassionate care she received from St John, she decided to give back to the community by assisting nurses with simple tasks and providing emotional support to patients, particularly the elderly. Known for her outgoing personality, Flowers encourages others to volunteer, emphasizing the rewarding nature of the work.
