Fofié Kouakou Martin was a prominent military figure in Côte d'Ivoire, serving as a colonel-major and leading the 2nd military region. Born in 1968 in Bondoukou, he joined the Ivorian Armed Forces in the late 1980s and gained recognition during the early 1990s. He played a significant role in the country's military history, particularly during the 2002 coup attempt that led to a civil conflict, and rose through the ranks within the Forces nouvelles. His passing at the age of 58 has left a notable void in the Ivorian military community.
