Frances Chow

Frances Chow is a 23-year-old music and science teacher who has made significant strides in her teaching career in just a short time. This year, she experienced the joy of watching her students gain enough competence to perform at the KBB Music Festival, a highlight in what she describes as a demanding year. Chow balances multiple responsibilities, including lecturing in Auckland, teaching at various schools, and applying for a new position at Christchurch Girls’ High School where she will teach chemistry and science. Her unique background as a Malaysian-Chinese rock climber and semi-professional violinist allows her to connect with her students, making her teaching style both relatable and impactful.
