Frances Rings

Frances Rings is an accomplished choreographer and the artistic director of Bangarra Dance Theatre, a leading Indigenous performing arts company in Australia. A Mirning woman from South Australia, Rings has dedicated her career to exploring and expressing Indigenous culture through dance, often collaborating with Indigenous artists to ensure authentic representation. Her recent work, 'Illume,' draws inspiration from the remote Kimberley community of Lombadina, where she seeks to highlight the resilience and rich cultural heritage of the local people.
