Francisc al II-lea was the King of France from 1559 to 1560, known for his short reign following the death of his father, Henry II. His time on the throne was marked by the continuing conflicts of the French Wars of Religion. Paré served him as a royal surgeon, further solidifying his status in the medical community after the tragic injury of Henry II during a tournament.
