Francisco de Bobadilla was a Spanish judge and colonial administrator known for his role in the governance of the Spanish colonies in the Americas. He is most famously recognized for his intervention in the administration of Christopher Columbus, whom he deposed and imprisoned due to mismanagement and conflicts with both the indigenous populations and the colonists.
