Francisco Javier Arana

Francisco Javier Arana was a prominent Guatemalan military officer and politician who played a crucial role in the 1944 October Revolution that overthrew the government of Federico Ponce Vaides. As a key member of the revolutionary triumvirate alongside Jorge Toriello and Jacobo Árbenz, Arana was instrumental in initiating significant political and social reforms in Guatemala.
