
Francisco Javier de Aguilera
Francisco Javier de Aguilera was a prominent cruceño military leader during the struggle for independence in Bolivia. He commanded the royalist forces at the Battle of El Pari in 1816, where his troops faced off against the patriot forces led by Colonel Ignacio Warnes. Despite having a numerical advantage, Aguilera's forces suffered significant casualties, which hindered their campaign to suppress the independence movement.
